APDRA first began working in the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2010 and 2011, at the request of the Center for the Development of Enterprise (CDE), in order to provide technical assistance to a selection of small entrepreneurial farms. Between 2016 an 2024, the NGO again intervened in the Republic of Congo within the framework of the "Project of reinforcement of the capacities of the actors of the piscicultural sector in the Republic of Congo" (RECAFIP) and the the DeFiP program (Development of Fish Value Chain). In 2026, APDRA launched a new initiative in Kouilou: the project to promote the socioeconomic rights of farming households in Kouilou through the development of an inclusive aquaculture sector (Mbisi-Ko)
To carry out its action, APDRA works in partnership with the Congolese association Forum pour la Promotion des Groupes Ruraux (FPGR).
